About Charlie & Ben Designer Petwear

Charlie & Ben started out as an online boutique, based in the UK, providing fashionable and stylish dog clothing and dog and cat accessories.
We want your satisfaction to be our top priority, so we have committed ourselves to continually providing you with high quality, chic and stylish designer petwear at a fair price.

We also take pride in our Customer Service, offering you with an online store that is an easy to use, secure facility ensuring your experience with us is a pleasant and safe one.

Charlie & Ben evolved in early 2006 and is the brainchild of Debbie Nelson. With an eye for fashionable chic items and latest trends she found there was a large amount of fantastic top quality products available. The year culminated in a hugely successful launch of the website in October 2006, bringing together the best products from around the world, making pet couture more accessible.

After receiving some valuable customer feedback we realised the North East of England was still missing out, something had to be done…..so in April 2007 we opened up a Retail Management Unit in the Metro Centre, Gateshead (which is one of Europe’s largest shopping centres!) Hey Presto, the North East was well and truly introduced to pet couture!

September 2007 saw the relaunch of the website as it is now. It has been fully revamped and redesigned with the purpose of making your shopping experience with us even better.

October 2007 has seen the launch of our own labeled Dog Clothes range which includes Hoodies, T-shirts, Dog Coats, Jumpers and fabulous Dog Rain Jacket's. The 'Grace' Pet Carrier and 'Smitten' Lounger Pet Bed make up this exclusive range which has been an instant hit with Dog Lovers throughout the UK.

April 2008 has brought about further change with a move from the RMU in the Metro Centre into our new Designer Petwear Boutique in the Antiques Village. The new boutique has given us more space to display the ever increasing range of products and give our loyal customers a better retail experience.

Our continuing inspiration is provided by our two Cockapoo's, Harvey and Lester. Harvey loves his Camo harness and dressing up in his favourite t-shirts!!! He even cries for his clothes on and it can be a nightmare when we get deliveries as he wants to try everything on! You will find a few pictures of him in our Gallery, which is also there to feature your pets too. So get their glad rags on and get snapping.
